The recreation areas listed below are close to the bike routes and are mostly free. Mt Tom, Black Rock and Lake Waramaug State Parks charge a parking fee during the summer season. The museums may charge a small admission fee.

Boating (Canoes & Kayaks)

Bantam River and Bantam Lake: Boat launches are situated all around Bantam Lake. Canoes and kayaks can be launched onto the Bantam River from White's Wood Road and Sandy Beach (see Route # 5).

Dog Pond: Town Hill Rd (1 mile west of Rt 63 & Rt 4 intersection), Goshen. Shallow launch

Lake Waramaug State Park

Mohawk State Park Pond: Camp Rd., Cornwall (off Great Hill Road; see Route # 6)
